2018 YLC Policy Process

The Young Liberals of Canada are very proud to announce our the 2018 YLC Policy Process! The most open and accessible policy process we’ve ever conducted, it will give all Young Liberals the chance to present and promote your ideas for a better Canada.

1 – Write Your Policy (CLOSED)

2 – Submit Your Policy (CLOSED)

3 – Vote for Your Policy (Open from the 20th to the 26th of November)

In keeping with our longstanding tradition of progressive leadership, we’ve recently closed phase one of our 2018 Policy Process – the most open and inclusive in YLC history. This phase yielded 37 unique policy ideas, submitted by Young Liberals from across the country. We are now pleased to announce the launch of Phase two.

This vote will be held  from November 20th, 2017 to November 26th, 2017.  In order to decide which six (6) resolutions will be put forward by the YLC for further consideration in Halifax, we ask you to vote for which of the # resolutions matter most to you!

Only Registered Young Liberals may participate in the Online Policy Prioritization Vote. You may vote for as few as one (1) and up to as many as six (6) resolutions.

Click here to review the resolutions in full.

You may resubmit your vote more than once before the deadline, but only your most recent vote will be counted. The resolutions appear in the official language in which they were submitted. The top 6 resolutions chosen will be posted here on youngliberals.ca

4 – Bring Your Policy to Halifax

Following the vote, the top five policies will advance to the Liberal Convention next April in Halifax! The YLC executive will work with members and clubs to help promote build support for these policies in the lead up to the convention. Once there, all Young Liberals will push for their adoption by the party as a whole.
